Rant/update for friends and family❤️:
When Josiah and I were planning our wedding for October 13th, 2019, we were also planning our honeymoon then for a 3 week trip! One week in Los Angeles and a 14 night Hawaiian cruise. We had paid for it all and were of course so excited. Leading up to the wedding, he started having the partial seizures, and ultimately they discovered the tumor. At this point, it was September, and his doctors strongly advised us to have his craniotomy almost immediately after our wedding. So we made the hard but easy decision to cancel the paid for honeymoon, struggled with Carnival to get a refund, and only received a $1000 credit that expired the following year. We made the most of Atlanta and Chattanooga for a couple days, and 3 days after our wedding on the 16th, he had his craniotomy. Life has obviously been all over the place since then with the Glioblastoma diagnosis, COVID, and more.
All that to say, we are so BLESSED beyond measure to be able to finally take this honeymoon. God has been so good to us, and He deserves all of the praise for helping us get through our struggles. We leave October 5th and will be going to Oahu, Maui, and the Big Island. No cruise this time. We had some great travel advisors through Enchanting Travels that planned our dream honeymoon! We will be coming home October 24th. If y’all can prayer for continued healing for Josiah and safe travels for us, that would mean so much to us! We are so excited, and we can’t believe it’s almost here 🥹
We’re so happy that you’re finally getting the honeymoon that you’ve waited so long for! 😊❤️
