I just got to go back in post-op and see Josiah for about 5 minutes! He slightly opened his eyes and the first thing he said was “hey baby.” I was so relieved that he still knew who I was. It was funny he actually asked when the surgery was supposed to happen, and I told him he was already out of surgery. He says, “wow that was fast.” Fast for him, but not for me!! He said he had a very bad headache and was exhausted. His eyes and face were swollen some. They gave him some pain medicine in the IV to help so hopefully that kicks in soon for him. He told me he loved me and asked for a kiss. He was in and out of sleep, so we didn’t talk too much. They are moving him to his room soon!
