Today has been better than yesterday. He has still been in pain and is complaining of lots of pressure in his head. The doctor said this was normal because his brain and spinal fluid is filling back in. He has had hot flashes on and off today too, and I took his temp during one and it was 99.2° . So not too bad, but the physician’s assistant said he needs to keep doing the breathing contraption thing (incentive spirometer) every hour, and that this would help his fever. She said sometimes patients in the days following surgery start to get a low grade fever from the breathing tube. I don’t quite understand the correlation, but I hope that’s all it is! He’s been more talkative today, but a little grumpy. I can’t blame him because of his pain. Please keep praying :)
