Hi everyone! Just got done at his follow up at the neurosurgeons. He got his staples out! It really is healing up so well. It’s a little crusty, but they said it will smooth out soon. Pathology report is still not back yet unfortunately. They said from what they can tell it really is between at grade 2 or grade 3 Astrocytoma. If it is grade 2, he will need to take some medications to help diffuse and get rid of the rest of what’s in there. If It is grade 3, he will need to go through radiation treatments. The way the surgeon explained it was that a tumor kind of sends out “scouts.” And while they got the majority of that tumor out, the “scouts“ that were sent out in his brain have potential to become active and grow again. So we want to avoid that, especially if what they took out was cancerous. So we are still waiting to know! Other than that, he can drive again! He is in great spirits, and doing better every day.
