Thank you everyone for your prayers and well wishes! Yesterday the consultation went well. The spot they see growing back for Josiah was confirmed to be 1 centimeter by .5 centimeter, so it is very small, however in the world of Glioblastoma it needs to be handled ASAP due to the infiltrative cells. They are going to perform Gamma Knife Radiosurgery on him Tuesday. Monday he has another MRI to make sure nothing has changed. Tuesday morning, we have to be at Emory at 5:30am. In total, everything is supposed to take no more than 8 hours. They will have to sedate him to put a halo type hardware on his head for the procedure. Then he will begin very localized and high beam radiation. They said he will likely be fatigued and out of it after the procedure and will need to rest the rest of the day. He should be back to normal activity the next day though which is great.
We are both pretty anxious about all of this and still so deeply saddened that something has grown back for him. Please pray for healing and that his new MRI monday looks the same if not better (God can do anything!!!). And please pray that the procedure goes well and he has as little side effects as possible. Thank you everyone ❤️
