The oncologist said she’s thrilled with the results! Anytime glioblastoma doesn’t grow is amazing, but it’s even better when it’s stable and has even shrunk!! Before gamma knife is on the left and after is on the right. The little sliver they treated has gone down in size. No need for further intervention, and they will do another follow up MRI late September. Thank you for all the prayers❤️

Edit to add Some further info: the gamma knife radiosurgery is expected to continue working on the treated spot for another 5 months or so causing the tumor to shrink in size over time. It damages or destroys the DNA of tumor cells so they don’t reproduce or grow.

While we are always praying for the tumor to go away completely, shrinking is positive and we will take what we can get ☺️
