Today Josiah called me around 3 letting me know that he wasn’t feeling well. He said he felt like he was having one of his seizures he used to have before his brain surgery with deja vu, metallic taste, eye twitch, and sweaty palms. When I was talking with him, he wasn’t making a whole lot of sense, and I could tell he was anxious. I called his brother Danny, and Danny picked Josiah up from work in Alpharetta and took him back to his apartment. I was able to leave work to go make sure he was okay. He started feeling much better, but was still having anxiety for a while. Josiah doesn’t know if it truly was one of his partial seizures he had before the brain surgery, or if it was a major anxiety attack with his mind psyching itself out with those symptoms like before. I felt like it would be best to drive him back, so we ended up leaving his car in Alpharetta. We called and talked with his oncologist and neurologist, and they both want him to increase his seizure medication. This was disappointing because we were hoping to be able to continue weaning him off of it, but not having seizures is more important. The neurologist also scheduled him an EEG for October 20th, but honestly we may cancel it because these are pretty useless unless he is experiencing a seizure when they take the EEG. It’s also a month away..
We weren’t sure if we should post this update or not, but Josiah said he wanted prayers, so please pray for him! Please pray for his anxiety, his health and healing, and that God gives him peace!
Josiah; Bruce, Jarrett and I said prayers last night for calmness, peace in your heart and today we send you hugs and love.
Praying for the both of you and may God give you some comfort!
Always in our thoughts and prayers
I'm sorry to hear about this. Anxiety is a terrible thing, and can really play tricks with your mind. I'm continuing to pray every day. 🙏🙏🙏
